Military Wives

We are all aware of the men and women who give their time and lives for the United States of America.  But we are less aware of a group that serves everyday so that the men and women of the Armed Forces can keep our country safe.  These are the spouses.  They support their husbands and wives during irregular work hours, lengthy deployments and frequent moves.  They often function as both mothers and fathers and keep their households moving smoothly.  At this point there are still more men in the military than women, and we have started a study focusing on the oral histories of military wives.  If you are or have been a military wife, we would like to collect your story.  We are doing both phone and live interviews.  Please contact Kristi Young at kristi_young@byu.edu if you are interested in participating in this program.
