Printed bibliography seeking dedicated researcher of Victorian/Edwardian literary history…

Love Your Library Week starts today! Are you planning on enjoying a blind date with a book?

One thing that librarians and curators love is to help our patrons find the resources they need for their research. That’s why the library subscribes to journals and databases and buys novels and monographs and reference books. These new Special Collections reference books  may not be up for a blind date, but they just may be someone’s perfect research match:

  • Walter E. Smith, Charles Dickens: a bibliography of his first American editions, 1836-1870.
  • David Brass Rare Books, 2012.John R. Turner, A bibliography of unauthorised American editions of the tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, 1904-1980. Ian Hodgkins & Co., 2012.
  • J. R. Abbey, Scenery of Great Britain and Ireland in aquatint and lithography, 1770-1860 (Privately Printed, 1952); and Life in England in aquatint and lithography, 1770-1860: architecture, drawing books, art collections, magazines, navy and army, panoramas, etc. (Privately Printed, 1953).
