Aldus Manutius: Scholar, Printer, Innovator

aldSpecial Collections’ newest lobby exhibit celebrates the life and legacy of Venetian printer Aldus Manutius on the 500th anniversary of his death. Aldus Manutius: Scholar, Printer, Innovator will introduce you to one of the most famous figures in the history of printing through a selection from BYU’s collection of books from the Aldine Press. The exhibit features some of Aldus’ contributions to scholarship, typography, and book design, and connects his innovations to the modern world.

Aldus Manutius: Scholar, Printer, Innovator will be on display through February 28. The exhibit is open during Special Collections’ normal operating hours, Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-9 p.m., Friday 8 a.m.-6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
